Phoenix Gray Rec Ltd is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client\’s consultancy. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of overseeing junior staff while undertaking comprehensive engineering designs. You will be instrumental in project management and administration duties, as well as monitoring design team costs within the framework of the established programme and budget. This role demands a proactive approach in assisting with fee assessments and providing compelling fee bids for various projects. The ideal candidate for this role will possess an ambitious and self–motivated spirit, alongside a collaborative mindset. You should have experience in smaller consultancies where both design and management responsibilities are essential. Your expertise in producing designs from conception to completion–including specifications, drawings, schedules, and cost estimates–is critical, along with your ability to effectively manage client relationships and collaborate with the team. Key Responsibilities: Implement company policies and procedures. Carry out electrical design and project management across diverse projects. Manage the design team while providing engineering support. Liaise with clients and attend project–related meetings. Maintain and expand existing client relationships. Conduct surveys and produce comprehensive reports. Perform quality inspections on projects. Utilize CAD systems per company protocols. Monitor financial performance of projects. Formulate and uphold electrical standards within the organisation. Mentor and guide junior staff members. Experience: In–depth knowledge of current Building Regulations, particularly in energy–related controls. Experience within a consultancy environment or as part of a large contractor in a design role. Project management expertise across multi–disciplinary projects. Capability to produce detailed specifications and design calculations. Proficient in CAD systems with the ability to produce manual drawings. Experience in producing tender packages and conducting tender analysis. Competence in budget costing for various service aspects. Ability to carry out site surveys across the UK. Experience in on–site project management and condition reporting.
