Recovery Worker Essex SCFT

Are you passionate about recovery?

We’re looking for a talented individual to join our specialist, ground breaking Community Forensic Team to improve the lives of users of our service in the Forensic mental health system.

The role requires travel across Essex therefore a drivers license and car is essential.

The Role

We are looking for an individual who has experience of working within the Health & Social care field.

You will be highly skilled in working in an intensive multi agency way to support clients to manage their risk and improve outcomes.

You will need to be passionate about recovery and work with clients to support, motivate and manage them to access a wide variety of services.

This role has a Billericay Base with the view to travel across Essex therefore a drivers license and car is essential.

You will support individuals to access support in the community instead of in secure hospitals to improve quality of life, reduce inequality, and give hope to people who may have been detained for many years.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals to transition out of secure settings and accessing services in the community.

Other organisations may call this role or similar; Support Worker, Recovery Worker, Liaison Worker, Recovery coordinator.

About You

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Independence and initiative to work on own caseload and projects.
  • An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals withindrug and alcohol recovery.
  • Experience of working with individuals in the substance use sector, mental health or related field.
  • The ability to be innovative and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
  • Be able to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
