Job Description We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Service Transition and Release Manager in our Service Architecture, Design & Transition team within Technical Service Operations. The Role The Service Transition and Release Manager is key in IT Service Management (ITSM), overseeing the smooth transition of IT services and successful releases into live environments. The role focuses on managing the transition of new applications and services, ensuring impacts, risks, and readiness are fully understood. Responsibilities Service Transition Management: Develop transition plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies. Oversee end-to-end transition processes, collaborating with Service Design and Architecture to ensure quality and share lessons learned. Release Management: Manage release cycles, including major, minor, and emergency releases, ensuring they meet business requirements and quality standards through testing and validation. Stakeholder Engagement: Work with cross-functional teams and participate in Change, Release, and Project Community of Practices (CoP). Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement, implement automation tools to streamline release cycles. Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to ITIL/ITSM standards and organizational policies. What We Are Looking For Strong knowledge of ITIL, especially Service Transition and Release Management processes. Understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and Test Environment Management (TEM). Knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices. Experience in ITSM roles focusing on service transition, release management, and service introduction. Proficiency with tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar.
