Job Description
We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a IT Planning and Performance Analyst to join our IT Performance and Commercial function function.
Job Type : Permanent
Location: This role could be based in either our Birmingham, Telford, Edinburgh or London offices with time spent working in the office and at home.

The Role
The IT Performance and Commercial function is part of Group IT and is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that Group IT operates effectively as a business. The function is made up of a number of core disciplines; IT Planning & Performance, IT Finance Management & Control, IT Risk & Assurance and IT Strategic Supplier Management.
The IT Planning and Performance Analyst is a key member of the team who support in ensuring that the operational heartbeat is effectively supported across key dimensions of
- IT Planning
- IT Performance Reporting
- IT Resource Management & Operational Capacity
- Communication and Engagement coordination for Group IT Operating Model
Key Accountabilities
- Group IT Planning: undertaking supporting analysis which supports the development of the Group IT operational business plan
- Group IT Reporting: collating and producing high quality MI on a timely basis to facilitate decision making and support trend analysis (e.g. monthly scorecards)
- Resource Management & Operational Capacity : creating and maintaining reporting that allows regular assessment of capacity in line with AOP and financial assumptions around FTE and recharge.
- Communication and Engagement : acting as a key point of contact for internal communication within Group IT, contributing to the creation and distribution of internal newsletters, emails, and other communication materials to promote key initiatives, updates, and IT accomplishments. Measuring the effectiveness of internal communication strategies and recommend improvements.
- Operating Model: assist in the production of artefacts that help to describe how Group IT operates and where required, support with analysis and assessment of broader operating model change activities
What are we looking for?
- Experience of resource and capacity planning activities
- Excellent data and analysis skills experience of analysis tools to support report production (e.g. Excel, Power BI)
- Ability to interpret MI and data trends and present back to the business
- Proven experience in providing contributing to colleague engagement and creation comms
