We are searching for an experienced Senior Planner or Planning Manager looking to build and expand their career at an award-winning developer of sustainable new communities and energy projects.
This is a role that will involve developing existing development and planning projects, preparing new applications and engaging with stakeholders and communities to see projects transition from concept into construction. The Senior Planner will have an intimate knowledge of the planning sector to contribute to new site analysis and assessment.
The right candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in planning and development with a focus on land-led promotion – and the character and skill set to become an integral part of the Phoenix Development Team.
Key responsibilities
Support the Development Team in various tasks related to planning projects
Prepare and manage planning applications and consents into construction
Lead engagement with local communities, local authority planning departments and statutory consultees
Prepare reports for planning projects and changes in planning policy to keep the Development Team abreast of land use policy changes at the national and local level
Contribute to new site analysis and assessment
Qualifications and experience
Degree in Town Planning or related field with experience in developer, consultancy or local authority town planning
Strong understanding of UK planning legislation
Excellent communication and presentation skills
