Due to continued growth, we are hiring a new Technical Pre-Sales Specialist to drive infrastructure, EUC and hybrid transformation opportunities through expert solution design and technical sales support.
What will you be doing?
- Act as a subject matter expert for Phoenix’s infrastructure, cloud, virtualisation, storage, managed services and transformation solutions.
- Identify, qualify and develop hardware, software, cloud and services opportunities across existing customers and new prospects.
- Work closely with sales teams to drive pipeline growth, promote focus technologies and maximise cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Design and present end-to-end solutions, including proposals, presentations, bill of materials (BOMs) and tender responses.
- Provide technical sales expertise, articulating business value, transformation drivers and solution benefits to customers and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners and internal teams to support business growth and customer success.
- Stay current with market trends and emerging technologies, ensuring Phoenix solutions remain competitive and differentiated.
- Maintain relevant accreditations and contribute to training, marketing events and knowledge sharing across the business.
- Support opportunity forecasting, pipeline management and reporting in line with business requirements.
- Actively contribute to team objectives, sales targets and continuous improvement initiatives.

What are we looking for?
The right person for this role is an experienced Technical Presales professional with a strong background working for a reseller, consultancy or distributor, and a proven track record of designing and positioning infrastructure, data centre, cloud and hybrid IT solutions. You'll be comfortable engaging with both technical and commercial stakeholders, translating complex technologies into business value, and supporting sales teams to identify, develop and close opportunities. Strong solution design, technical sales and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a proactive approach and a passion for emerging technologies.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a technical presales, solution specialist or consultancy role within infrastructure, cloud, virtualisation or digital transformation.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technologies, including hardware, software, cloud, storage and managed services.
- Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business benefits for customers and stakeholders.
- Skilled in opportunity qualification, solution design and supporting complex customer engagements.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
