This role combines deep technical expertise with strong consultancy skills, enabling you to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable and cost‑optimised Azure architectures. You will lead customer engagements end‑to‑end, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering solutions aligned to Microsoft best‑practice frameworks including the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well‑Architected Framework (WAF).

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the design and delivery of Azure solutions including landing zones, networking, security and core platform services.
  • Produce high‑quality technical documentation including High‑Level Designs (HLDs) and Low‑Level Designs (LLDs).
  • Architect Azure solutions for high availability, disaster recovery and multi‑region scalability.
  • Deploy and configure Azure services including virtual networks, vWAN, ExpressRoute, VPNs, Azure Firewall, Bastion, NSGs, virtual machines and PaaS services.
  • Lead or support on‑premises to Azure migration projects.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep and/or Terraform.
  • Ensure all designs and deliveries align with Microsoft CAF, WAF and internal governance standards.
  • Design and implement Zero Trust security architectures using Entra ID, RBAC and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Apply governance controls including Azure Policy, management groups, tagging and cost management strategies.
  • Design and implement business continuity and disaster recovery solutions using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Provide cost modelling, forecasting and optimisation recommendations, including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans and Azure Hybrid Benefit.
  • Lead customer workshops and discovery sessions, translating business objectives into effective technical solutions.
  • Present architectures and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the full engagement lifecycle.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong hands‑on experience designing and delivering Azure solutions in customer‑facing environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure networking, security, identity, compute and PaaS services.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing infrastructure using Terraform and/or Bicep.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise Azure environments.
  • Experience delivering consultancy engagements, leading workshops and managing stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Commercial awareness with a cost‑conscious and governance‑focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently lead end‑to‑end customer engagements.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field desirable but not essential.
  • Strong experience in Azure solution architecture and delivery roles.
  • Microsoft certifications such as AZ‑305, AZ‑104 and AZ‑500 preferred.
