Overview of the role

We are seeking a Junior Recruiter who will support the recruitment team in sourcing, engaging, and assessing top talent across the organisation. Working closely with hiring managers and the wider People team, the Junior Recruiter will contribute to building strong talent pipelines, improving recruitment processes, and promoting the organisation as an employer of choice.

What will you be doing?

  • Proactively source and engage candidates through LinkedIn and other channels to support live vacancies.
  • Build and maintain talent pools, market maps and competitor insights to strengthen future hiring pipelines.
  • Create and manage job adverts, ensuring strong reach and monitoring response quality.
  • Screen candidates through CV reviews and initial calls, providing hiring managers with clear, well-curated shortlists.
  • Coordinate interviews and support recruitment administration to keep the hiring process running smoothly.
  • Gather and report recruitment data for weekly and monthly updates to stakeholders.
  • Promote internal opportunities to help increase internal mobility and awareness.
  • Support early-career and community outreach by coordinating relationships with schools, colleges and local partners.
  • Assist with planning and attending careers fairs, recruitment events and community engagement activities.

What are we looking for?

The right person for this role has experience in a recruitment or HR role, this could be within any type of business including a recruitment agency. During the interview process you will be able to showcase your understanding of recruitment and in particular how to source passive talent.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in recruitment or HR
  • Understanding of core recruitment principles, including sourcing, screening and selection
  • Awareness of employer branding, candidate experience and EDI best practice
  • Comfortable using sourcing tools such as LinkedIn and familiar with ATS platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates professionally
  • Highly organised, with good time-management and the ability to handle multiple tasks at pace
  • Strong attention to detail when managing candidate data, scheduling and reporting
  • Confident using digital tools, job boards, spreadsheets and basic reporting dashboards
  • Able to build positive relationships with candidates, hiring managers and stakeholders
  • Proactive and curious, with a willingness to learn, take initiative and contribute ideas
  • Comfortable coordinating diaries, scheduling interviews or managing multiple requests
