We are now hiring a
Content & Search Optimisation Specialist to join our Marketing team and help drive engagement, visibility and conversion across our digital channels.
This role will focus on creating and optimising content that performs effectively across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven answer engines.
You will take a strategic approach to content development, ensuring content is aligned to audience needs, business objectives and search best practices while supporting Phoenix’s wider marketing goals.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and execute content marketing strategies that support business and marketing objectives.
- Create high-quality content assets, including blogs, articles, e Books, whitepapers and other digital content.
- Optimise content for both traditional search engines (SEO) and AI-driven answer engines (AEO).
- Incorporate keywords, metadata and structured content techniques to improve search performance.
- Structure content to increase visibility within AI-generated answers, chatbots and voice search experiences.
- Develop audience-focused messaging that supports engagement and conversion.
- Collaborate with marketing and subject matter experts to align content with campaigns and business initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging search technologies.
- Identify content opportunities and gaps to support ongoing content development.
- Measure content performance and use insights to refine strategy and improve results.
- Support the continued development of Phoenix’s content marketing and search optimisation capabilities.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in content marketing, content strategy or search optimisation roles.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimisation best practices.
- Awareness of Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and how AI-driven search and answer platforms surface content.
- Understanding of how tools such as Chat GPT, Perplexity and AI-powered search engines discover and present information.
- Experience using content management systems (CMS).
- Experience using analytics tools to measure content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable content recommendations.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Organised and proactive approach to managing multiple content priorities.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience creating and optimising content across multiple digital channels.
- Experience developing SEO-focused content strategies.
- Experience working with content performance reporting and analytics.
- Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or related qualifications desirable but not essential.
