Overview of the role
Phoenix enables digital transformation in the workplace, empowering UK organisations to innovate and transform with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, data, AI, security, and collaboration tools.
We are now very excited to grow that team further by hiring a new Data Protection Sales Engineer within our Vendor Alliances team with the key objective to provide technical direction and guidance to increase the revenue and pipeline for Rubrik-based solutions.
What will you be doing?
- Act as a pre-sales technical resource, to customers and internal staff in the development of fully integrated technology solutions
- Assist in the design and development of integrated technical solutions.
- Demonstrate technical leadership for Rubrik solutions.
- Acts as technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of assigned customers.
- Make technical and sales presentations to customer\’s technical staff and senior management.
- Lead technical sales calls.
- Support training to ensure all sales employees have the relevant knowledge to be able to position data protection solutions to their customers.

What are we looking for?
The right person for this role will already be in a technical pre-sales role within a similar environment. You will have a strong technical grounding in data protection, particularly in the areas of backup and recovery.

- Pre-sales technical expertise in IT solutions, with a focus on data protection technologies
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery solutions, particularly within hybrid and cloud environments
- Technical leadership in architecting and demonstrating Rubrik-based solutions
- Customer-facing communication skills, including the ability to present to technical and senior management audiences
- Solution design and integration capabilities for enterprise IT environments
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience leading technical sales calls and collaborating with sales teams
- Technical consulting and problem-solving skills in customer environments
- Training and knowledge sharing abilities for internal sales staff on data protection technologies

Where is the role based?
Our HQ is based in Pocklington (YO42) and the expectation for this role is to visit the office 1-2 times per week.
