It is a time of fantastic growth and maturing evolution for our client, one of the UK's most high-profile fintech platforms. To help the firm navigate the complexities of growth in tomorrow's world, they seek to appoint an independent Technology NED to its UK Board. The mandate is simple: provide board-level challenge and guidance across the breadth of the Technology infrastructure, which includes architecture, resilience, cyber risk, and ongoing regulatory readiness.
This is a critical appointment for the organisation, and the role will be varied, stimulating, and challenging. The successful appointment will provide independent oversight of technology strategy, execution, and investment. They will guide and (where appropriate) will challenge and support the wider organisation across a range of topics. These may include: strategic thinking on new technology, business implications, AI, data and ethics, and long-term planning alongside current technology, operational resilience, and third-party relationship management.
The Technology NED will show a demonstrative track record of world-class governance and compliance, and risk management knowledge. They will display first-class communication skills and sound judgment. The appointee will act with integrity, be able to guide the business, and challenge constructively.
We are interested in talking to former Technology-focused executive-level candidates who are looking to take on their first fractional NED role. Moreover, we are also particularly interested in candidates who are already operating as a Technology NED and have the capacity to take on another stimulating NED Board role, with no conflicting interests.
