PSI Ltd is an international science and engineering company at the forefront of Advanced Materials innovation. Operating primarily in the field of Powder Metallurgy, PSI designs and builds both production- and research-scale process equipment, conducts extensive R&D, and maintains a comprehensive in-house machine hall. The company also manufactures high-performance specialist powders of high value that are not widely available on the market.

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our leadership team and drive PSI’s technological and product strategy. The successful candidate will quickly assimilate the scientific foundation of PSI’s products and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s direction toward emerging technologies, new materials, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic planning: Develop and implement the company's technology vision, strategy, and roadmap to support long-term business goals.
  • Technology leadership: Leading and managing technology, managing the R&D team and supporting engineering, mentoring - including supporting and hiring senior technical talent.
  • Innovation and R&D: Overseeing research and development to identify and integrate new technologies, drive innovation process and oversee programs to readiness for delivery.
  • Infrastructure management: Ensure the company's technological infrastructure, architecture, and platform development are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working with other executives and departments, such as product and commercial teams, to ensure technology aligns with overall business objectives.
  • Budget and resource management: Managing technology budgets, timeframes, and resources effectively.
  • Technical expertise: Provide high-level technical advice to the CEO and other executives staying informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Risk management: Implement and maintain protocols that protect company sensitive information around innovation and its IP.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role with a proven track record of 15 to 20 years of experience in complex systems in a capital goods market.
  • A bachelor's degree in Metallurgy Engineering and a master’s degree in an engineering subject, ideally has also obtained chartered status.
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including investors.
  • Deep understanding of additive manufacturing and emerging technologies.
