Phoenix Solutions & Consulting are supporting a well-established commercial vehicle operation in Thurrock who are looking to add experienced HGV Technicians to their workshop team. This role suits someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and thrives in a busy, hands-on environment.
About the Role
As part of the workshop team, you will be responsible for keeping a modern fleet of HGVs operating safely and efficiently. Day-to-day duties include:
- Fault finding and diagnostics using industry-standard systems
- Carrying out servicing, inspections and repair work
- Preparing vehicles ahead of MOT tests
- Producing accurate job cards and records
- Working safely, efficiently and to a high standard within a fast-paced workshop

Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle / Commercial Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Strong background in HGV servicing, repairs, diagnostics and general maintenance
- Experience preparing vehicles for MOT
- High attention to accuracy and quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools
Desirable:
- IRTEC accreditation
Hours
42.5 hours per week, rotating early and late shifts
Week 1: Mon–Fri: 6:00am–3:00pm
Week 2: Mon–Fri: 2:00pm–11:00pm
Optional Alternate Saturdays: 7:00am–2:00pm, paid at time and a half (depending on workload)
