Job Specification: Electrical Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and additional tasks/emergencies in line with contract requirements for Mechanical Services and associated systems.
- Ensure effective communication, especially when reporting plant problems or failures that may impact the client’s business.
- Complete all plant and Building Management System (BMS) checks on time, recording and communicating any issues to the Shift Leader.
- Conduct PPM according to set schedules, maintaining high engineering standards to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
- Proactively engage in preventative maintenance and maintain good site husbandry.
- Promptly address all Helpdesk-related reactive maintenance issues related to mechanical infrastructure, heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipework, and associated mechanical systems, or as directed.
- Repair electrical and mechanical systems, controls, and associated systems.

Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer with expertise in industrial, commercial, and domestic systems, performing PPMs per SFG20 or equivalent, with advanced fault-finding diagnostic experience.
- Qualifications:
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations
- Electrical apprenticeship (ideal)
- IOSH Working/Managing Safely (desirable)
- Safe System of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS (desirable)
- L8 Training (desirable)
- HV & LV Authorised Person
- Familiarity with fuelling procedures.
- Experience with HV generation and control systems.
- Experience working within a critical and secure environment.
Additional Requirements
- Complete critical environment training and scenario training as per schedule.
- Guide and train the shift team on SOPs/EOPs.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of one functional area through significant job experience and training.
