We are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance of a large‐scale estate in the Humberside area. The role covers plant room, basic plumbing, HVAC and compliance work, and includes supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Basic Salary: £38,000
- Ventilation AP Increase: £1,500 (training provided)
- On‑call: One in five, £120 standby plus OT
- Holiday: 25 days plus statutory
- Other: Pool van available for on‑call duties
Responsibilities
- Complete PPM and reactive maintenance for mechanical plant rooms, pumps, valves, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
- Maintain basic AHU, fan coil, and ventilation systems; perform routine checks and compliance duties such as water/tap temperature monitoring.
- Carry out small works installations and emergency repairs.
- Manage all ad‑hoc maintenance tasks.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate contractors on site – acting as lead engineer.
- Work as a Ventilation AP (training provided).
Qualifications
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer.
- Experience in plant room, ventilation, AHU/FCU maintenance.
- Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience.
- Excellent client‑facing skills.
- Lead and supervisory experience.
- Willing to complete Ventilation AP training (or previously trained).
- Willing to undertake fabric and plumbing tasks.
- Able to pass a DBS check.
