About the Role: We are urgently seeking a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site engineering team at a high-profile stadium. The successful candidate will work within a dedicated team of 18 engineers, including 5 mechanical specialists.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of key mechanical systems within the site. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can “hit the ground running”, with a solid understanding of HVAC and mechanical plant systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and servicing of: Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Air Handling Units (AHUs), Pressurisation units, Calorifiers, Ventilation systems
- Reactive and planned preventative maintenance
- Assisting in event operations – must be available to work during events and concerts (approx. 12 weekends per year)
- Working collaboratively with a multi-skilled engineering team
Requirements:
- Recognised mechanical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a mechanical/HVAC maintenance role
- Comfortable working with key plant systems – plumbing-only experience will not be considered
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and grow within the team
- Must be relatively local to the site
