This leading name in the Facilities Management (FM) sector is seeking a confident and technically skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee building services at a high‑profile commercial office site. This is a critical role for someone with solid experience in M&E maintenance who can lead from the front, manage tasks effectively, and ensure compliance and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Supervise a small team of engineers and coordinate with contractors as required.
- Ensure all works meet current H&S regulations, statutory compliance, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Carry out hands‑on maintenance including emergency lighting, LV distribution, UPS, lighting controls, BMS adjustments, and fault‑finding.
- Manage documentation, logbooks, and ensure asset registers are up to date.
- Act as the technical point of contact for the client, attending site meetings and supporting audits.
Candidate Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent (essential)
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (essential)
- Testing & Inspection qualification (preferable)
- Experience in a client‑facing commercial environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and fault‑resolution skills
