High Voltage M&E Technician – South London – £60,000

Location: South London

Salary: £60,000

Hours: 24/7 continental shift pattern, 4 on 4 off then 6 on 6 off (6 and 6 is 3 days 3 nights)

PRS Recruitment is currently looking for a High Voltage M&E Technician to be based at a Critical Data Centre Environment located in South London. The successful candidate will be electrically biased (NVQ, C&G, 17th / 18th Edition etc) with a proven track record in Critical Environments.

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing high-voltage electrical equipment and systems. You will also ensure the safe and reliable operation of power distribution systems, respond to emergencies, and perform planned and reactive maintenance.

Duties:

  • Maintenance of High Voltage electrical switchgear including basic testing.
  • Installation of High/Low Voltage electrical Switchgear.
  • Reviewing and sign-off of critical switching and complex RAMS for electrical work
  • Completing HV/LV Switching, HV SAP Duties supporting AP appointments, and managing Authorised Persons
  • Installation and maintenance of Transformers.
  • Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out on all critical plant, equipment, and systems

Requirements:

  • C&G Level 3 Electrical Installations
  • C&G 18th edition
  • HVAP Certificate
  • Good working knowledge of HV/LV electrical substations and equipment.
  • Understanding of HV Networks.
