Job Description:
We are recruiting for a fabric maintenance handyperson to cover PPM and reactive maintenance at a prestigious facility in East Manchester. The role involves general repairs, compliance checks, fabric maintenance, stock management, and assisting engineering staff. This is a permanent position offering up to £32,700 based on a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing general maintenance such as lamping, fabric repairs, basic plumbing, patch plastering, and painting.
- Completing compliance checks including emergency lighting and tap temperatures.
- Assisting engineers and trades on site.
- Performing basic room repairs.
- Moving stock around the site using a site vehicle.
- Ad-hoc maintenance duties.
Requirements:
- Experience in maintenance and as a handyperson.
- DBS check required.
- Several years of relevant experience, with good customer skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Ability and desire to perform general fabric maintenance tasks.
- Competent operation of building systems, following guidelines and safety standards.
