In-House Data Centre Critical Shift Engineer: Sussex
Basic Salary is £50,000 Plus Annual review. Overtime Annual Bonus 10% basic salary. Free Parking on Site (Out of Congestion Charge Area). Pension. Continental Shift Pattern 7 am to 7 pm Days and Nights. Regular Overtime due to Shift Cover.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Biased Data Centre Shift Engineer to be based at one of the legacy Data Centre Campuses in and around Surrey and Sussex. The site consists of 3 Data Centres all with dedicated engineering maintenance operations team in place, adding to the collaborative and cohesive working environment that exists. These sites have been earmarked for some massive CAPAX project enhancement, and any engineer looking to join will be part of the system upgrades and site improvement, making it a very interesting place to work in terms of manufacturers courses on new plant and systems being installed and commissioned.
Working directly for one of the top five data hosting companies globally, this role comes with a number of career opportunities down the line. We are in search of a conscientious, hardworking, and resolute technically minded Electrical biased Shift Engineer. High Voltage experience is a plus, however not essential, but a comprehensive and in-depth working understanding of all electrical UPS systems, generators, BMS, fire suppression systems, general HVAC and facilities maintenance procedures and processes, as well as a good understanding of cooling and mechanical plant is advantageous.
