A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercial plumber/building services engineer to join a growing FM service provider, working across 3 sites in Birmingham City Centre. The sites are a mixture of corporate office environments and high-end residential units. Experience working on HIUs (Heat Interface Units) is highly desirable for this role, however not essential as training can be provided.
In this role, you will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs to Heating Interface Units, as well as carrying out general commercial plumbing and mechanical maintenance work on radiators, cylinders, fan coil units, and air handling units.
Main duties will include:
- Carry out maintenance to HIUs
- Carry out maintenance to heating systems
- Maintain and repair pipes, radiators, cylinders, fan coil units, and air handling units
- Carry out repairs identified during servicing, including replacement of pumps, valves, actuators, and system bleeding
Person specification:
- Formal trade qualification such as City and Guilds or NVQ in plumbing & heating or mechanical engineering
- Experience working on heating interface units
- Ability to work both independently or as part of a team
