We are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join a busy kitchen team on a temp to perm basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts worked on a rota basis. You must be flexible to work any 5 days out of 7, including occasional weekends.
Shift Times (Rota Based)
- 6:00am - 2:00pm
- 8:00am - 4:00pm
- 10:30am - 6:30pm
- 1:00pm - 9:00pm
Key Duties for a Chef:
- Preparing and cooking meals in a busy kitchen environment
- Batch cooking for large numbers of people
- Supporting the kitchen team during service
- Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained
- Assisting with food preparation and kitchen organisation
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
The kitchen caters for between 50 and 300+ people daily, so the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Requirements for a Chef:
- Must hold a valid clean DBS check
- Must be a driver due to the location
- Previous chef or cook experience in a busy kitchen
- Experience with batch cooking
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
