My client is a national contractor that provides catering services into education, healthcare, business, prisons, and leisure. They are an independent, family-owned company that has achieved consistent growth year after year by keeping the core values upon which it was founded - family, respect, honesty, pride, and exceptional performance.

An opportunity has arisen for a chef manager to join their catering team based at one of their government contracts in Milton Keynes.

Duties as Chef/Catering Manager:

  • You will be fully responsible for the day-to-day running of the catering offer which consists of Breakfast and Lunch service for approximately 400 people based on site.
  • The staff restaurant will offer a varied range for hot food and a deli bar.
  • You will be responsible for managing a team of 3 which includes Head Chef, Sous Chef, Part-time Commis, and KP.
  • There will be a limited Hospitality offer which will include teas, coffees, and working lunches.
  • This is a kitchen-based role and will require cooking and managing the kitchen, front of house operations including H&S, allergens, and book work.

The ideal Chef/Catering Manager will have proven management skills, a real passion for fresh food, and previous client liaison experience.

Package:

  • Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm
  • £35,000 plus 30 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
