Our Client is looking for an experienced (Senior) Mechanical Engineer to join its Building Services team based in central Manchester. Ideally, they are looking for an engineer with 4-5 years' post-graduate experience, and some progress towards Chartered Engineer status, looking to develop into a Senior Engineer role in the medium term.
You will be working as part of a small, closely-knit team and you will help deliver engineering projects across sectors such as residential, education and leisure (hotels), ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the client’s requirements. You will also start to share in the responsibility for the day-to-day management of project teams, and be required to support the development of more junior staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Degree Qualified in a relevant subject (or equivalent combination of educational and practice experience).
- 4+ years' experience in an engineering consultancy.
- Thorough technical experience and understanding of Mechanical design.
- Proven experience of designing in accordance with current British standards, codes of practice and industry good practice.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and programme work.
- Self-motivated and pro-active.
In addition, progress towards achieving Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional institution, along with some experience of leading projects and supervising the activities of others is desirable.
