We’re looking for an Assistant Commercial Accountant to join our Operations finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career in a commercial finance role, supporting a UK wide wholesale operation. Working closely with the Senior Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, supporting forecasts and budgets, and providing insight that helps drive better business decisions. You’ll also have the chance to work with a wide range of stakeholders across both finance and operations.
What You’ll Do
- Support month end processes including P&L and balance sheet reporting
- Produce management accounts and carry out variance analysis
- Assist with forecasts, budgets and longer-term planning
- Deliver KPI reporting and performance insights
- Partner with depot and operational teams across the UK
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and business decisions
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a management accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Confidence using Excel and PowerPoint, and working with financial data
- Good communication skills with the ability to work across teams
- Proactive, organised and able to meet deadlines
- Part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or an equivalent qualification is advantageous.
