Overview
Specialist Occupational Therapist – Adult Mental Health role at Phoenix MCT, based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This position supports the community mental health team with 1:1 and group Occupational Therapy, contributing to the transformation of mental health services alongside system partners. The role is available as a Band 6 for an experienced Occupational Therapist, or on a developmental Band 5 to Band 6 basis. You’ll help deliver innovative care solutions to the people of Cornwall.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and further develop the current Occupational Therapy role within the Community Mental Health Team, including 1:1 and group provision.
- Provide Occupational Therapy to a defined caseload within the Community Mental Health Service using evidence-based practice, the Occupational Therapy process, and client-centred principles.
- Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions within a multidisciplinary team.
- Support with generic tasks within the team as required.
- Contribute to the development of the Trust Occupational Therapy Service and best practice initiatives.
- Support the development of Occupational Therapy support worker roles within the team.
- Collaborate with system partners to expand and improve mental health services and support transformation of the community mental health model of care.
