Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative Dietitian to work as part of a team delivering a wide range of nutrition and dietetic care within the Stroke Pathway in Cornwall. This vacancy is for a permanent Band 6 inpatient Dietitian post (17 hours per week) based at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital.

Responsibilities

The remit will be to contribute to the service under the guidance of the lead dietitian, professional lead and operational manager. This includes input to patients and staff across a large geographical community area through one-to-one consultations and engagement with multi-professional colleagues in the implementation of practice.

You will also be responsible for the supervision and management of dietetic assistants, band 5 Dietitians, and contribute to student placements. This role includes:

  • Senior autonomous practitioner providing dietetic support and advice to patients and health professionals with a wide clinical remit.
  • Managing junior staff and supporting the lead and professional Dietitians.
  • Contributing to policy development and developing appropriate resources as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records in accordance with CFT and Health Professions Council regulations/policy.

Open to applicants currently completing Return to Practice and awaiting HCPC registration.
