We are currently recruiting a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) in a remote position, which will require occasional travel to a Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, up to 12 in-county days per year. This travel is to attend area away days, induction, training, team meetings, development days, participate in patient facing activities, and any reasonable management requests.

Where needed, you will work to promote equality of opportunity and use interpreters when required to support people from different cultural backgrounds and ages.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical contacts 1:1 face to face, over the telephone, video consultation, group courses (remotely and in person) and CBT.
  • Assess patients and provide clinical evidence-based interventions to help service users make lasting changes in managing their mental health.
  • Engage in discussions with step 3 and/or step 4 clinicians to ensure safe onward referrals and uphold patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
  • Offer opportunities for community outreach work to promote the service to other services, educational settings and careers events.
  • Work as part of a team with possible involvement in promotional activities and day-to-day service operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Completed PWP training from an accredited Low Intensity course.
  • Experience delivering Low Intensity Psychological Interventions within a stepped care model for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • PWP registration.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and ability to work with diverse populations; use of interpreters where necessary.
  • Flexible working hours between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and participation in evening clinics between 5pm and 8pm as required by the service.
Support, Development and Working Arrangements:
  • CPD opportunities and supervision: Clinical Case Management, Clinical Skills, Reflective Practice Supervision and regular Line Management.
  • Remote and in-person working options with occasional travel as noted above.
  • Service offers LI and HI CBT, Counselling for Depression, Couples Therapy for Depression, Mindfulness-based CBT, IPT and EMDR; establishing links with Primary Care Networks and Secondary Care Mental Health Teams.
