We are currently recruiting a qualified PWP to work in the county, as part of an exciting expansion which has quality patient care and staff wellbeing at the heart of it. You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team who are striving towards gold standard ways of working. We are committed to supporting you reach your full potential by providing CPD opportunities and you will receive Clinical Case Management Supervision, Clinical Skills Supervision, Reflective Practice Supervision and regular Line Management.
We are an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability. We are a people organisation and people matter to us. As part of the team, you'll help support the health and wellbeing of the people who live and visit this beautiful part of the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Complete clinical contacts 1:1 face to face, over the telephone, video consultation, group courses (remotely and in person) as part of the service.
- Hold discussions with step 3 and/or step 4 clinicians to ensure step ups and safe onward referrals are completed while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
- Engage in promotional work and assess patients, providing clinical evidence-based interventions to help service users make lasting changes in managing their mental health.
- Participate in community outreach work to promote the service to other services, educational settings and careers events.
- Work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and uphold equal opportunities.
- Work between 8am and 8pm on weekdays as required, with evening clinics offered between 5pm and 8pm.
- Collaborate within the service alongside LI and HI CBT approaches, Counselling for Depression, Couples Therapy for Depression, Mindfulness-based CBT, IPT and EMDR.
- Contribute to links with Primary Care Networks and Secondary Care Mental Health Teams.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Completed PWP training from an accredited Low Intensity course.
- Experience delivering Low Intensity Psychological Interventions to patients with mild to moderate common mental health difficulties within a stepped care model.
- PWP registration.
- Commitment to equal opportunities and ability to work with interpreters when necessary.
- Flexibility to work across different service locations and times, including evenings (5pmβ8pm) as required.
- Able to participate in CPD opportunities and supervision as part of ongoing professional development.
Supportive supervision and a focus on staff development are provided.
