We are an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, delivering community and hospital-based care to improve physical and mental health. We support and develop our therapists with comprehensive CPD and training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to service users with a range of complex anxiety and depression problems.
- Offer specialist CBT assessment and therapy; provide advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to colleagues; work to NICE recommendations and BABCP guidelines.
- Contribute to teaching and training of mental health professionals and other staff within the service.
- Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT formulations in clear, easily understood language.
- Ensure patient and employee information is kept accurate, confidential and secure at all times, in line with GDPR and internal policies.
- Support flexible working patterns, including some remote working, with a preference to be based in team bases in Cornwall for part of the week.
- Relocation support may be negotiable to assist relocation to the county.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate Master’s level qualification (or newly qualifying) in Psychological Therapies Practice (High Intensity CBT) or equivalent.
- Significant experience as a psychological therapy practitioner.
- BABCP accreditation or eligibility for BABCP accreditation.
