We are seeking a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist to join the Initial Response Service.
Applicants should be self-motivated, preferably with prior experience in acute mental health services, and have completed the MSc in Clinical Associate Psychology.
Successful candidates will be eligible to apply for graduate membership of The British Psychological Society (BPS).
A Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP) works as a semi-autonomous practitioner within a clinical team under the supervision of an HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist. CAPs use psychological knowledge, research, and theory to reduce distress and improve wellbeing, applying evidence-based interventions in collaboration with their supervisor.
CAPs provide specialist mental health services, offer consultation, supervision, training, and contribute to service development across the Trust. They support teams through research, service evaluation, and dissemination of outcomes.
We are an NHS community and mental health provider based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, delivering community and hospital-based care to improve physical and mental health, including support for dementia and learning disabilities.
