Job Description Job Title: Teacher – Maths or English Specialist Job Location: Neptune School, Warmly (BS30) Salary: Between £28,350 and £33,592 per annum, based on working 40 hours per week, (39.2 weeks of the year) Contract Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract Every child deserves access to meaningful education, and some may require additional support to fully engage with learning tailored to their individual needs. As a Teacher working with neurodiverse children and young people aged 7 to 16, you’ll support those with additional needs related to communication, cognition, sensory processing, or physical disabilities. Your role will be essential in creating a learning environment where these pupils can thrive. Specialising in English, science, or maths can open up exciting, hands-on activities that make learning engaging and accessible. For instance, simple experiments like making slime or creating mini volcanic eruptions can introduce scientific concepts while stimulating pupils’ senses. In maths, activities such as using LEGO to build shapes or participating in a scavenger hunt for numbers and patterns can help make abstract ideas more concrete.
