The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Area Manager to lead and support multiple children’s homes across the South West of England. This role is central to our mission of providing the highest standards of care, and we are looking for someone who can manage with empathy, kindness, and a genuine passion for helping others. As an Area Manager, you will lead by example, supporting and inspiring your teams while ensuring that we continue to offer a safe and therapeutic environment for all our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage multiple children's homes across the region, ensuring that all homes provide a consistent and therapeutic approach to care.
- Lead with empathy and kindness, ensuring that the needs of both staff and young residents are met with understanding and respect.
- Support home managers by offering guidance, mentorship, and hands-on leadership to enhance the overall care delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and mutual respect, where everyone feels valued and heard.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safeguarding policies, and health & safety requirements to protect both residents and staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including social workers, families, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the financial sustainability of services without compromising on care quality.
- Foster a positive, supportive work environment, ensuring that staff feel motivated, empowered, and equipped to provide the best possible care.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing multiple children’s homes or similar services is required along with a deep understanding of therapeutic care approaches is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with team members, young residents, and external stakeholders.
- The ability to manage and motivate teams across different locations while maintaining a strong sense of unity and purpose.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory standards, and best practices within children's care.
- A passionate commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
- Full driving license and the ability to travel across the South West of England.
