Agricultural Service Operative x2 Immediate Start Temporary to Permanent for the right candidates £12.50 per hour + Overtime paid at time and a half The working week is from Monday to Saturday 39 hours, overtime hours will be worked, time and a half paid for hours after 39 hours worked in the week. (almost every week will have overtime hours to pay). Very occasionally there is work on a Sunday, if so, this will be paid at double time. Your contract agreement includes an Individual agreement to opt out of the 48 hours maximum weekly working time limit under the working time regulations 1998. This position comes with very early starts and shift times will vary. One day you might start at 5am and finish at 2pm. Another day you may start at 7am and finish at 5pm. There are no set times as our client services the commercial poultry industry and they regulate the delivery of the chicks. The radius of farms served is from the base in Redgrave, anything from 10 miles up to 120 miles. Nest Pension benefit is part of your employee package. 35 days holiday including Bank Holidays. Phoenix Recruitment Services Ltd are currently recruiting for 2 very fit, healthy, well abled Agricultural Service Operatives to work at our clients poultry farm in Redgrave, Diss. We are looking for dedicated and loyal employees to join our clients hard-working team. The job involves carrying out the following activities on site at poultry farms across the Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire and Essex areas. * Driving Vans to and from Farm Sites, collected from base in Redgrave then returned at the end of each day. * Setting up broiler farms prior to Chick Placement (this is done after the farm is clean and shavings are installed by another contractor) * Chick Placement into farms * Building and Maintenance on farms. * Communicating with Farm Managers. * Completing all necessary paperwork and handing them in when required. * General cleaning and maintenance of equipment and workshop. Clothing is generally black trousers and black shirt and work steel toe capped boots. Where available, temporary company logoed shirts will be issued. Chick tipping hours vary, there will be be very early starts in the morning therefore you have to be prepared to start early mornings in order to service the clients customers’ requirements. A driver’s license is essential and being able to speak English is preferable. Teamwork is essential and to be able to communicate with fellow workers whose first language is not English. Physical fitness is essential for the type of work that will be carried out. Part of the farm support entails lifting and placing many heavy bales into sheds in one day. You will be required to have your own transport to get to and from the work base, which is situated in Redgrave, Diss.
