Inpatient Physiotherapist – FlexiBank

Phoenix Hospital Group | Weymouth Street Hospital | FlexiBank contract

About the Role

Phoenix Hospital Group is looking for a skilled and motivated FlexiBank Inpatient Physiotherapist to join our ward team in Weymouth Street Hospital.

Reporting to the Ward Manager, in this role you will provide high-quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to our inpatient population, predominantly orthopaedic patients, as well as patients undergoing general surgery. You will develop and implement individualised rehabilitation plans, working closely with orthopaedic consultants, the nursing team and other multidisciplinary professionals to support patients’ recovery and ensure safe and timely discharge.

This is an excellent opportunity for a patient-focused physiotherapist who enjoys working autonomously while collaborating with a wider clinical team to deliver outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose and deliver individualised physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation programmes for inpatients.
  • Provide high standards of clinical care, ensuring patients’ dignity, privacy and individual needs are respected.
  • Undertake appropriate clinical risk assessments and arrange onward referrals where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with orthopaedic consultants, nursing teams and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate and advise patients, carers and relevant healthcare professionals on physiotherapy management and rehabilitation.
  • Develop safe and comprehensive rehabilitation plans to support effective recovery and prompt, safe discharge.
  • Maintain accurate clinical observations and treatment records, ensuring appropriate documentation for billing purposes.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment, including the appropriate storage and care of equipment.
  • Adhere to HCPC professional standards, company policies, confidentiality requirements and relevant health and safety procedures.

About You

We are looking for a professional, approachable and adaptable physiotherapist who is committed to delivering excellent patient care.

You will have:

  • A degree or diploma in Physiotherapy, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of one year’s post-graduate experience.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Experience assessing and treating a range of orthopaedic patients.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and independently managing a caseload.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing clinical priorities.
  • A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, dignity and privacy.
