Rotational Radiographer
Phoenix Hospital Chelmsford | 37.5 hours per week
Phoenix Hospital Chelmsford, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, are seeking a dedicated and skilled Rotational Radiographer to join our dynamic outpatient team. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work across various imaging modalities, contributing to high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services across General X-ray and Theatre Imaging, ensuring excellent patient care and safety at all times.

Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations across General X-ray and Theatre Imaging.
- Provide intra-operative imaging support and operate mobile fluoroscopy equipment safely.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while maintaining patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with radiation protection legislation, departmental protocols and patient safety standards.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to emergencies and deteriorating patients.
- Support and guide junior colleagues, radiography assistants and students.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and departmental governance activities.
- Maintain accurate imaging records and keep up to date with mandatory training and continuing professional development.
Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- Current HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Post-registration experience within diagnostic imaging.
- Experience working independently within a busy imaging department.
- Knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation protection and clinical governance.
- Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience supervising students or junior staff.
