Immediate vacancy is available for a Healthcare Assistant to provide high-quality care in a homecare setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of those in their care. Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Working on a roster basis, days, 10 to 12 hours per shift starting from 6.45 am.
- Assist service users with personal care tasks, mobility, and medication.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance service users' quality of life.
- Ensure service users' breathing is supported via home ventilation equipment when needed (full training and checking your skills will be provided).
- Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with service users, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous.
- Ability to understand and follow individualised care plans accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with service users.
- Organised and reliable, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
