Rotating shift Pattern - Week 1 - Monday – Friday 07:00 – 15:00 PM. Week 2 - Monday and Tuesday – 16:00 – 01:00, Wednesday – 16:00 – 00:00, Thursday - 16:00 – 23:30, Friday – 16:00 – 22:30, 1 in 4 Sunday – 07:00 – 12:00.
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Technician to join our team at the Birmingham Depot. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of maintaining and enhancing our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Your responsibilities will encompass Planned Preventative Maintenance, swift resolution of system breakdowns, defect repairs, and the overall upkeep and optimization of our depot facilities and automation systems.
The heart of the role:
- Maintenance of volume picking machinery through scheduled maintenance.
- Record keeping of maintenance work and support managing the activities of outside contractors whilst on site.
- Immediate response to any breakdowns with the production equipment in accordance with the production hours.
- Assisting in the delivery of Supply Chain technical projects.
In this role you will be required to stand and walk for most of your shift, as well as needing to be able to lift (up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.
What makes you tick:
- Recognised Level 3 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
- Experience fault finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Desirable qualifications: IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Desirable knowledge: AS-i/PROFIBUS/PROFINET.
