As the E-Commerce Manager, your role will be crucial in driving a new online offering for the B2C business while supporting the development of a long-term scaling strategy. You will also oversee the daily management of our two B2B e-commerce platforms. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all digital aspects, such as trading, merchandising, onsite conversion, and optimising the customer journey. You will work closely with the OTC and Marketing teams to create and execute the digital trading and growth plan, ensuring it aligns with seasonal trends, tactical opportunities, and planned marketing campaigns across the B2C platform. Additionally, you will ensure the effective day-to-day management and maintenance of products, categories, and content across our websites, delivering a seamless digital customer experience that drives successful purchases.

You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that digital initiatives align with business and product objectives and identify opportunities to drive for digital transformation and optimisation.

The heart of the role

  • Act as the strategic and operational lead for all e-commerce platforms - agree on short-term plans to drive sales as well as develop medium-term growth plans.
  • Proactively identify and maximise short-term tactical opportunities whilst building and working on longer-term strategic plans.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure that all websites are continually updated to optimise customer journeys, communicate product and promotional updates, and increase sales conversion.
  • Develop and lead the e-comm trading updates regularly to ensure stakeholders are up to date on performance.
  • Stay current on new features, best practices and trends across e-commerce, digital and social platforms.
  • Develop weekly and monthly reporting to inform stakeholders of sales and pace.
  • Alongside the OTC team, provide monthly rolling sales forecasts and online merchandising reports to highlight trends and patterns in customer behaviours.

  • Experience or an understanding of e-commerce marketing programs, including paid search, email, display and retargeting to drive growth.
