We’re looking for a proactive Transport Manager Designate to lead a safe, compliant, and high-performing transport operations across our network. This is a pivotal leadership role, requiring a confident and experienced transport professional who can provide direction, drive performance, and ensure operational excellence across a complex and fast-paced environment.
The heart of the role:
- Provide operational leadership and hands-on support across the national network to ensure consistent service delivery, compliance, and performance standards.
- Lead and deliver Lean and Kaizen continuous improvement projects that drive measurable efficiencies, cost savings, and service enhancements.
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical transport plans that align operational performance with long-term business objectives.
- Embed a high-performance culture by setting clear standards and delivering training and development initiatives that build capability and ensure compliance.
- Drive sustainability initiatives within transport operations, reducing environmental impact while supporting wider organisational goals.

- CPC Qualification in Transport Management.
- Proven experience managing delivery drivers and a commercial vehicle fleet.
- Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety, transport compliance, and GDP standards.
- Confident people manager with experience in absence, discipline, and performance management.

- Results-focused, dependable, and calm under pressure, with a hands-on leadership style.
