We're looking for a Fleet Manager to come join us, based in Birmingham. In this role you will lead the safe, compliant and cost-effective operation of the PHOENIX fleet network, ensuring excellent service delivery while driving fleet performance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the transport function.
The heart of the role
- Leadership of fleet operations and transport administration teams.
- Management of vehicle maintenance, servicing, MOT scheduling, and asset lifecycle planning.
- Ownership of VOR performance, maintaining through effective supplier and operational management.
- Ownership of transport compliance, including Operator Licence obligations, VOSA/DVSA requirements, tachograph management, and CPC compliance.
- Management of fleet expenditure, fuel consumption, vehicle utilisation, and transportation budgets.
- Contractor and third-party provider relationship management.
- Development and implementation of fleet strategy to support business growth and network optimisation.
- Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, sustainability, and service excellence.
- Production of fleet KPI reporting and analytics to support operational decision-making.
- Investigation and management of transport incidents, claims, and risk mitigation activities.
