Technical Business Analyst – Business Development & Origination Transformation
Location: London (Hybrid) with flexible working options available.
Job Type: Permanent (Part‑time and job‑share also open).

The Technical Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the retirement solutions and asset management space. Working closely with stakeholders across products, operations, compliance and IT, the Analyst translates complex business requirements into actionable insights and solutions that support the delivery of retirement solutions products and services. The role ensures systems and platforms are aligned with regulatory requirements, operational efficiency and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and deliver specific product‑related analysis and conclusion documents across product sets such as BPA, Annuities or Smoothed Funds.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements related to retirement solution products, platforms, and processes.
- Map current and future‑state business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, automation and regulatory compliance.
- Translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications for technology teams.
- Support project delivery through requirements traceability, testing support and change management.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes and customer needs to inform strategic planning and product development.
- Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams to ensure solutions align with strategic goals and deliver value.
- Keep technical & business knowledge up to date in area of expertise (e.g. relevant legislation changes, product rules).
- Propose pragmatic, innovative, cost‑effective solutions to business needs.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve analysis quality and service delivery, and support business decision‑making.
- Simplify technical information into more easily understood terms.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of relevant products in Retirement Solutions and Asset Management such as BPA, Annuities or Smoothed Funds, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in business analysis, process mapping and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio or similar.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
