Location: This role will be based in our London office with some flexibility to work between the office and home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support sourcing and assessment pricing of reinsurance solutions flow and facultative longevity to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Perform analytical assessments to evaluate the commercial viability of longevity swaps and funded reinsurance transactions.
  • Contribute to structuring and project‑managing live reinsurance transactions.
  • Develop recommendations to strengthen transaction strategy and maximise success in competitive processes.
  • Support negotiation and documentation activities throughout deal execution.
  • Assist in onboarding new reinsurance arrangements and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
  • Support senior stakeholder briefing including approval papers and help take colleagues along the journey where new developments or approaches are introduced
  • Process Improvement & Strategic Development
  • Enhance, streamline and embed efficient processes across reinsurance activities.
  • Maintain awareness of SII, Matching Adjustment and implications for reinsurance structuring.
  • Contribute to expanding reinsurance capability within the team and across the business.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Technical Skills & Experience (Essential)
  • Experience in structuring and executing reinsurance or derisking transactions, with solid commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical and technical aptitude, particularly in data manipulation, cashflow modelling, and longevity experience analysis
  • Strong data‑wrangling capability and experience handling large datasets
  • Strong knowledge of insurer balance sheets, the BPA market, longevity underwriting or DB de‑risking

Qualifications (Essential)

  • Qualified Actuary, with experience in the pension or life specialism
  • Personal Attributes
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑moving environment and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, time management and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement.
