The role provides advisory and technical support on relevant UK and EU regulatory requirements, supporting the continued expansion of Private Credit strategies while ensuring strong regulatory alignment and enabling commercial activity.
This role is well suited to an experienced Compliance professional looking to step up into a Manager position, with increased autonomy and exposure, while continuing to be supported by Senior Compliance leadership. You will act as a specialist adviser to the Asset Management business and provide Line 2 Compliance oversight and advisory support to the in‑house fund manager, particularly in relation to AIFMD requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a compliance partner to Private Credit teams, providing advice and guidance across the full investment lifecycle.
- Support the development and enhancement of compliance frameworks in line with Private Credit products and fund structures, including cross‑border activity where relevant.
- Advise on relevant UK and European regulatory requirements impacting Private Credit activities, including AIFMD and MiFID related considerations.
- Identify, deliver and support targeted compliance training for business stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures in line with legislative and regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Review and advise on client‑facing materials and Private Credit fund documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance and consistency.
- Conduct and contribute to ongoing monitoring and testing activities, helping to identify and assess key compliance risks.
- Prepare clear and concise compliance reporting for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Represent Compliance in committees and working forums where required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience of Line 2 Compliance oversight of Private Credit, including regulated and unregulated structures.
- Experience within a Compliance role in financial services, with demonstrable exposure to Private Credit, ideally within an Asset Management environment.
- Ability to understand and apply UK and EU regulations relevant to Asset Management, particularly AIFMD, SYSC, ESG and COBS.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and provide practical, commercially aware compliance advice.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory topics clearly.
- A collaborative approach, with a proactive and solutions‑focused mindset.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Success in this role will be demonstrated through the provision of high‑quality, pragmatic compliance advice, effective risk identification, and strong collaboration with the business.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., compliance, legal or financial services certifications).
- Experience supporting other Private Market asset classes (e.g., real assets or property) in addition to Private Credit.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development within compliance or financial services.
- AML/KYA exposure (please note this is not a Financial Crime role).
We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome. Applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
