Job Type: Permanent

Location: This role will spend time working from the office and from home, with a contractual location of either Birmingham or Edinburgh

Salary and benefits: £70,000 – £80,000 plus 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Design: Define and deliver our Future Talent proposition, aligned to the organisation’s workforce needs and long‑term goals. This role will connect the dots across strategic workforce planning, talent, learning, DEI and organisational design to develop programmes that will deliver business outcomes and a fantastic colleague experience
  • Programme Management: Design and develop programmes and initiatives across the group, ensuring they are aligned to the skills and capabilities we need in the future
  • Oversee delivery: Working with third parties in‑house teams to manage the delivery of all recruitment, learning and development activity, supported by an in‑house Future Talent Coordinator
  • Employer brand and experience: Work with the wider employer brand and future talent team to strengthen our brand in the early careers/future talent market and ensuring our programmes are aligned to our broader employer brand strategy and employer value proposition
  • Data & Continuous improvement: Measure programme effectiveness such as progression, performance, retention, engagement, diversity and return on investment. Use insights and learnings to continuously evolve our approach
  • Championing Future Talent as we develop the proposition: Drive awareness of our Future Talent strategy, using it as a strategic lever to ensure we are attracting and developing the skills we need for the future

Skills

  • Ability to take an enterprise‑wide view whilst balancing the oversight of operational delivery

Knowledge And Experience

  • Significant experience in Early Careers/Future talent and designing an enterprise‑wide proposition
  • An innovative approach and ability to design modern and skills‑aligned programmes and interventions
  • Deep understanding of how future talent/early careers programmes work in a large, complex environment and can both design programmes and oversee the delivery such as recruitment and learning
