We’re looking for a Health, Safety & Workspace Wellbeing Coordinator to join our Property & Workspace function. In this role, you’ll support the coordination of health, safety and workspace wellbeing activity across our estate, helping to ensure our workspaces are safe, compliant and supportive of colleague wellbeing. Job Type: Permanent
Location: Edinburgh. Hybrid working is supported with regular UK travel required to support site engagement, audits and workspace wellbeing activities. Flexible working: All roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. The role: As Health, Safety & Workspace Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll provide operational coordination, administrative support and compliance tracking to support the delivery of health, safety and workspace wellbeing across our workspace estate. Working under the direction of the Head of Workspace Policy & Governance, you’ll support the implementation of health & safety frameworks, maintain accurate records and coordinate activity that helps ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational standards. You’ll act as a central coordination point for incident reporting, compliance monitoring, audit preparation, training administration and workspace wellbeing initiatives, supporting effective governance and informed decision‑making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the day‑to‑day coordination of health & safety activities across the workspace estate
- Maintaining accurate records, documentation and compliance trackers to support audit readiness
- Supporting incident, near‑miss and hazard reporting, investigation activity and follow‑up actions
- Coordinating compliance monitoring activity relating to statutory obligations
- Supporting health & safety and wellbeing data collection, reporting and dashboards
- Coordinating health & safety and workspace wellbeing training and maintaining training records
- Supporting the delivery of workspace wellbeing initiatives and engagement activity
- Acting as a point of contact for routine health, safety and workspace wellbeing queries
- Supporting site visits, inspections and audits across workspace locations
Regular UK travel will be required as part of this role.
What are we looking for? We focus on essential capabilities and encourage applications from candidates who may be early in their health, safety or wellbeing careers but who bring strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn. You’ll have:
- A health & safety qualification or working towards one (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH)
- Experience maintaining records, systems or administrative processes
- An understanding of basic health & safety principles and workplace risks
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
- Experience working in a team‑based or operational environment
The following are desirable:
- Experience supporting health & safety, wellbeing or compliance activities
- Experience in property, facilities management or multi‑site environments
- Experience supporting audits, inspections or training coordination
