Who are we?
We’re Standard Life, a retirement specialist focused entirely on retirement savings and income. We champion the belief that everyone’s journey to and through retirement can be better, and for more than 200 years, we’ve been helping our customers plan and prepare for their financial futures.
The role
At Standard Life, we’re building a modern, purposeful brand that helps people feel confident about their future. Our Creative Services team plays a vital role in bringing that brand to life, and we’re looking for a Creative Studio Manager to help keep the studio running smoothly behind the scenes.
This role sits at the heart of our in‑house creative studio. As Creative Studio Manager, you’ll bring structure, pace and clarity to how creative work moves from brief to delivery. You’ll make sure work is well planned, properly resourced and delivered on time – enabling designers, copywriters and motion specialists to focus on producing great creative.
You’ll work closely with Account Management, Creative and Planning colleagues to balance demand, manage studio capacity and keep everyone aligned on priorities. You’ll also champion great ways of working – from workflow tools and delivery processes to tidy, consistent file management.
If you enjoy problem‑solving, love making things run smoothly and thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced creative environment, this role could be for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating the day‑to‑day flow of work through the creative studio
- Planning and prioritising work in line with delivery timelines and capacity
- Allocating work across design, copy and motion teams
- Keeping visibility of live projects and resolving delivery challenges
- Championing studio workflow tools and best practice
- Supporting smooth, cost‑effective delivery across internal teams and partners
What we’re looking for:
- Proven background in a creative studio, delivery, traffic, or operations role (agency or in‑house)
- A strong understanding of the end-to-end creative workflow and studio delivery model
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritise workloads across multiple workstreams, balancing competing stakeholder needs
- Proficiency in workflow management tools (e.g. ScreenDragon/Teamwork or similar)
- Track record of working collaboratively across cross functional teams to improve processes, workflows, or operational effectiveness.
- Experience in an in‑house studio, agency or regulated environment is a bonus, but not essential.
We want to hire the whole version of you. We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.
If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
We’re reviewing applications as they come in and may close this role before the closing date, so apply early to avoid missing out.
