Location: Hybrid – Edinburgh, Telford or Birmingham office. Expected 1–2 days per week in office, subject to business needs.

The role: As a Senior Identity Engineer, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise identity and access management solutions. You’ll be responsible for integrating new applications, developing automation scripts, and optimising platforms such as Saviynt, CyberArk, and Microsoft Entra ID. You’ll work closely with architecture, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant identity services across the Phoenix Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and enhance enterprise-wide identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
- Lead the integration of new applications and services into the identity ecosystem, ensuring seamless and secure access.
- Develop and maintain workflows, connectors, and automation scripts to support identity lifecycle processes.
- Configure and optimise IAM platforms such as Saviynt, CyberArk, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure identity services align with business and security requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex identity-related issues across platforms and environments, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact.
- Contribute to the development of identity governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support audit and compliance activities by ensuring identity controls and documentation are in place and up to date.
- Stay current with emerging identity technologies, standards, and threats, and apply insights to improve our posture.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the Group Identity Team.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience engineering IAM solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of authentication, access governance, and privileged access management.
- Hands-on experience with Saviynt, CyberArk, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across identity platforms.
- Awareness of regulatory and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, ISF Standard of Good Practice).
