An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team in a team manager position in our Sheffield housing service.

This vacancy presents a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Sheffield team, based close to the City Centre, delivering support to people in recovery from drug and alcohol misuse across a number of sites. You will lead a small, committed team providing high quality and inclusive services to individuals with a range of backgrounds and experiences, including substance use, offending, and homelessness. You will lead the team in delivering high quality services and accommodation, one-to-one support to identify strengths and goals, and work with each individual to support them to build recovery capital and achieve their ambitions, including accessing training and education, engaging with community and peer support, and building recovery capital. This role is largely 9-5, but some flexibility will be required, as well as participation in an on-call Rota (remunerated).

About You

  • Excellent leadership and organisation skills
  • A good understanding of housing provision in particular supported accommodation
  • An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
  • Ability to effectively liaise with a range of service providers or agencies in order to establish and improve services for the people we support
  • Great written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work with a variety of people including clients, partners and colleagues.
  • Good time-management and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise a caseload
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support
  • A relevant qualification is desirable, however not essential, relevant experience within substance misuse service and or housing.

  • A starting salary of £28,500 (plus on-call allowance) with the opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, meaning potential salary increase up to £31,750
