We are recruiting a dynamic Recovery Support Worker to work in partnership with EPUT (Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust), delivering the Essex Liaison & Diversion Service throughout Essex, including Southend & Thurrock. The team has 1 vacancy, primarily based in Southend & Thurrock, with a flexible hybrid working approach, including remote work, Monday to Friday, 9-5.

Your daily responsibilities will vary. Successful candidates will collaborate with EPUT and the Police to support vulnerable individuals, including young people, into treatment/services. The goal is to divert them from reoffending or custody. This includes supporting the completion of DRR/ATR assessments and preparing high-quality reports to assist courts in making appropriate disposals for individuals with problematic alcohol and/or substance use. You will meet clients in the community and provide telephone support.

  • Ability to manage a busy caseload with strong organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and familiarity with relevant databases
  • Relevant experience in problematic substance use, mental health, or a related field
